American Presenters on World Cup...Sijui Niseme...

Talk about flavorless presentation. Really, do they have to shamelessly plug Team USA and its players in every single match? Inclusive of basketball references? Aaaaargghhhh! I'd rather watch the matches on the Hispanic channels. Even if you don't understand Spanish, the style of presenting is more captivating and you don't hear about Team Mexico or Ecuador or Paraguay plugged in at totally unnecessary moments.

P.S - Thanks to Ivory Coast for raising my blood pressure drastically!

Funny you should say that, I am sure that no one even knows one player in American football outside america, hence the whole plugging them routine. and to think this are the same people who hold world cups that is centred around their own continent?

Anyway, Ivorians were a treat - oh did you watch trinidad and tobago - damn those guys are good.
England have their work cut out for them on Thursday seeing how dismal a show they presented yesterday.

Do you not have BBC America or something in your neck of the woods?

I totally agree with you when they have a match on i would rather watch Univision, though i don't understand a word od Spanish than watch ABC or ESPN.
1st off they do not know how to commentate, you'd think you were watching the golf classics.
2nd have you seen the match-ups they are showing...WTH? I wanna see some Netherlands, sweden, Germany...

@ guess: please, our BBC America is busy filling us up with those Dame Judy Dench comedies. I don't think they have the rights to show the game here.

@Kabinti - Kelitu, Buff et al, you are supposedly supposed to watch it on bbc online - on the sports section - hope that helps.

LOL at the Us Keeper being handy, how the heck then did he allow three bloody goals from the Czech side and his team got none through - tsk tsk

Anyway, its only round one - lets see what cooks in the next coupla weeks.

@Kabinti - well, I left this same comment on Afromusing's site so hope its of some help to you:

AfroM - and all US based comments...

I feel your pain and I know I would be frustrated as well.

Well, you can watch the beautiful game on your computer if you are allowed at work or at home - Oh and if you dont mind watching it on a tiny screen .

Go to BBC Sports website, Click on the Open Audio and Videa at the top of the screen, choose Match of the day, and away you go!
I had to come do that at home cos our system at work has been disabled to watch video for the duration of the world cup - the meanies.
Anyway I am watching as I speak on my computer (oh and the TV too) so I know that the PC one is only about a minute slower than the Live one on TV

Dont say I never did anything for ya.
Happy WC everyone and Good Luck with streaming :)

@ guess - Americans....what can I say they call it patriotism. who am i to call it anything else? :o) BBC link doesn't work for peeps in other countries but I did find a link. I missed T+T lakini I will be up to date on the rest of the matches. As Kelitu said BBC America is a no go
@ nehanda - i hope you enjoy the games!
@ afrom - I second viva telemundo! great post by the way about the poor casting
@ Kelitu - glad to see I'm not the only one suffering. Hopefully they will keep the angola/portugal casters who were waaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy better!
@ movie buff - the resounding silence after 3-0 should hopefully be enough to shut them up for a while.
@ Valedon - eh...maybe we should pin our hopes on Tunisia? seeing that all our teams are holding zero points..

You know, I have a beef about these guys as well. Sometimes I just mute the TV and watch the game silently.

I was so hoping Togo could pull out a win earlier this week too.
